Product Description

  • Hand-crafted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
  • Vintage Washington quarters
  • 7 1/2 inches long
  • Magnetic clasp
  • Gift boxed
  • The instantly recognizable image of our first President makes this extraordinary piece captivating. Handmade hinges soldered together with vintage silver Washington quarters form an astonishing reticulating bracelet. An image of an updated magnetic clasp for this bracelet is pictured on a different coin bracelet.

  • The Washington quarter was introduced into circulation in 1932 in commemoration of the bicentennial of the birth of the United States’ first President. It permanently replaced the standing Liberty quarter. The Washington was struck in silver until 1964, when the rising price of the precious metal created a coin shortage because quarters and half dollars were being hoarded. Coins struck after 1964 contained no silver.
