George Washington, the larger-than-life figure, clad in an ornate military coat as the Commander of the Continental Army. This ornament is an intricately hand-made fair trade item. Display it on your tree, in your window, or collection.
In 1933, the chief architect of the National Archives, J. Russell Pope, recommended approval of a two-year contract to hire Barry Faulkner, a noted American muralist, to paint a mural for the Exhibit Hall in the planned Rotunda of the National Archives Building. The result was two large oil-on-canvas murals, each about 14 feet x 37 1/2 feet. One mural honors the signers of the Declaration, while the other honors those who signed the Constitution.
